Workers' Compensation Manager (Remote)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; Florida adjuster license and Florida workers' compensation claims experience required. Travel may be required for client meetings, mediations, and internal reviews, up to 15%.

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a workers’ compensation claims team handling varied caseloads and jurisdictions, with a primary focus on Florida.
• Manage adjusters and supervisors handling complex, high-exposure, catastrophic, and presumption claims.
• Oversee claims strategy, reserving accuracy, litigation management, and settlement negotiations within delegated authority.
• Partner with clients, brokers, attorneys, and vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective claim resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with client service agreements, claims best practices, and applicable regulations.
• Review claims data, support audits and quality assurance, provide technical training, and contribute to client reviews, renewals, service presentations, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of workers’ compensation claims experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Active Florida adjuster license required.
• Florida workers’ compensation claims experience and presumption claims experience required.
• Strong knowledge of jurisdictional statutes and laws.
• Ability to manage complex litigation, evaluate exposures, and negotiate settlements.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring, performance management, and team development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing presentations and reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to travel as required for client meetings, mediations, and internal reviews, up to 15%.

Nice to have

• JD or CPCU designation.
• Familiarity with claims management systems and data analytics tools.
