Workers' Compensation Supervisor (Fintech)

Location: Remote, but candidates must reside in Montana; on-site presence may be required for collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.

Base compensation: $90,000–$115,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately four to six workers' compensation claims professionals.
• Review, assign, and oversee claims to ensure compliance with company standards, client instructions, and applicable regulations.
• Provide technical guidance on compensability, coverage, litigation, reserving, settlements, subrogation, and benefit administration.
• Approve reserve changes, settlement authority, and other claim decisions while monitoring quality, productivity, and workloads.
• Oversee litigation, vendor utilization, cost containment, statutory filings, documentation, financial reporting, and claim coding.
• Partner with regional leadership and clients on claim reviews, workload balancing, operational planning, recruiting, onboarding, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of workers' compensation claims handling experience, including extensive lost-time claims experience.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, claims administration, litigation management, reserving, settlements, subrogation, and cost containment.
• Montana workers' compensation claims experience and experience managing workers' compensation adjusters are strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, decision-making, written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims management systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; an active Workers' Compensation Adjuster License is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Experience with municipal entities, public-sector employers, self-insured programs, or multi-state claims.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Industry designations such as AIC, CPCU, ARM, or WCCA.
