Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster

Location: Hybrid role based in Phoenix, Arizona, United States; requires expertise in Arizona and daily travel between locations, with overnight travel of up to 10%.

What you will do

• Investigate workers’ compensation losses, identify coverage, determine compensability, and analyze documents and legal pleadings.
• Develop action plans, evaluate damages, negotiate with involved parties, and settle claims within established guidelines.
• Establish and maintain accurate reserves reflecting financial exposure.
• Manage litigated claims in collaboration with legal counsel.
• Engage and oversee external resources while monitoring resolution quality and costs.
• Build relationships with agents, policyholders, employees, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of experience handling workers’ compensation indemnity claims of medium complexity or severity.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external customers.
• Ability to travel daily between locations and overnight up to 10%.
