Director of Business Applications (Workday)

Location: Hybrid in Frisco, Texas, United States; candidates elsewhere in the United States may be considered and must travel to the Frisco or San Jose offices as business needs require. Relocation assistance is not offered.

Salary: USD $149,610.00–$245,790.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for Workday across HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Financials.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for Workday configuration, integrations, security, and data architecture across HR and Finance.
• Lead architects, analysts, and administrators responsible for configuration, enhancements, release management, and support.
• Partner with HR and Finance leadership to translate business priorities into scalable system requirements and solutions.
• Manage release evaluation, process automation, self-service, reporting, analytics, governance, compliance, and data quality.
• Oversee Workday and implementation or support partners, including contracts, licensing, roadmap alignment, and escalations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise business applications and deep hands-on technical expertise in Workday across HCM and Financials.
• Proven experience leading Workday architecture, configuration, and release management in a multi-module HR and Finance environment.
• Experience building, leading, and developing teams of Workday architects, analysts, or administrators.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, including direct partnership with HR and Finance leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing Workday integrations with payroll, benefits, financial, and identity-management systems.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements for HR and Finance systems.
• Experience managing vendors and partners, including contracts, licensing, and roadmap discussions.
• Ability to balance deep technical ownership with strategic and senior stakeholder-facing responsibilities in a global cybersecurity company.
