Workday Integration Senior Analyst (Workday)

What you will do

• Design and implement integrations between Workday and enterprise platforms using REST APIs, SOAP web services, Workday data structures, and business process logic.
• Construct and troubleshoot XML payloads, API requests and responses, authentication, security, and integration context.
• Build deterministic, observable integrations with validation, robust error handling, retry strategies, logging, and audit trails.
• Diagnose failures by analyzing raw API data, Workday business process state, configuration, data integrity, and sequencing across systems.
• Partner with engineering teams on orchestration patterns using Power Automate, API layers, workflow tools, and automation platforms.
• Maintain clear boundaries between Workday system-of-record logic and external orchestration layers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or significant directly related work experience beyond the minimum requirement.
• At least 4 years of hands-on Workday integration experience.
• Strong expertise in Workday SOAP and REST APIs, data models, object relationships, and business process-controlled API behavior.
• Ability to manually construct API requests, troubleshoot at the request/response level, and debug integrations without relying on Studio abstraction layers.
• Strong knowledge of XML structure, namespaces, schema validation, integration security, ISU, ISSG, authentication, and API connectivity patterns.
