Controller - Business Unit (US GAAP)

What you will do

• Lead revenue recognition, inventory control, general accounting, compliance, and related collaboration with operations, FP&A, and shared services.
• Oversee the monthly accounting close, analytical reviews, month-end reporting, consolidation support, and close-process improvements.
• Own key controls across record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, leasing, inventory, and fixed assets, identifying gaps and implementing corrective action plans.
• Manage complex accounting areas including multiple income streams, ASC 606 revenue recognition, reserves, impairment analyses, intercompany transactions, physical inventories, and cycle counts.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits and advise management and business functions on financial objectives, strategies, and accounting matters.
• Lead, train, mentor, develop, and retain accounting professionals while supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required.
• 8+ years of diverse financial experience across finance and accounting roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on management experience.
• Experience integrating an accounting function as part of a business combination.
• Active involvement and success beyond traditional financial reporting responsibilities.
• Ability to make clear, decisive decisions while safeguarding company values.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, stay organized, maintain attention to detail, and work deeply on tasks and projects.
