US Financial Controller (Fully Remote)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; availability required five days a week during standard professional hours.

Base salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, plus a quarterly bonus based on a percentage of client profit generated by the book of business.

What you will do

• Serve as the outsourced controller for multiple clients and act as the primary contact for business owners, finance teams, auditors, and tax professionals.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, financial statements, monthly close, and variance analysis.
• Lead Account Managers by delegating complex work, reviewing deliverables, coaching, and training advanced accounting practices.
• Improve accounting quality, efficiency, and scalability across client portfolios and internal operations.
• Evaluate and implement client-specific accounting software and design integrated workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience, including multi-client cloud finance leadership.
• Experience leading month-end close, preparing audit-ready financial statements, implementing internal controls, and managing complex financial environments.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP, lease accounting, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Experience overseeing bookkeeping, AP/AR, general ledger integrity, reconciliations, auditors, tax teams, and compliance partners.
• Higher-education accounting degree and strong communication, delegation, coaching, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Must be based in the United States and able to work full time, 40 hours per week, within standard professional hours.
