Corporate Controller

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada; hybrid position requiring regular in-office work. Standard hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work during month-end close, audits, and other time-sensitive deliverables.

Base salary: $160,000–$194,000 CAD annually.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end accounting, monthly close, multi-entity consolidations, foreign currency translation, intercompany accounting, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee US GAAP reporting, complex accounting matters, subsidiary statutory reporting, audits, tax compliance, and transfer pricing documentation.
• Build scalable accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and public-company reporting processes, including SOX 404 and IPO readiness.
• Prepare ownership-group, lender, investor, Audit Committee, and Board reporting, and support capital markets and M&A activities.
• Partner with FP&A, legal, tax, operations, auditors, advisors, and financial institutions on budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and reporting.
• Implement AI-enabled accounting workflows and maintain the NetSuite multi-subsidiary environment, integrations, chart of accounts, and audit trails.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and CPA designation required; CPA, CA, or US CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years as a Corporate Controller.
• Experience with IPO readiness, public-company reporting, SEC or Canadian securities regulations, continuous disclosure, and SOX 404.
• Strong US GAAP expertise and experience with complex multi-entity, multi-currency organizations and international subsidiaries.
• Experience leading an accounting team of 15+ professionals across multiple countries and time zones.
• Vancouver-based availability and regular in-office work required.
