Functional Consultant (Real Estate)

Location: London, UK Office; UK Remote

What you will do

• Partner with clients to understand business objectives, processes, and operational challenges.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions, conduct gap analysis, and translate business needs into solution designs.
• Advise clients on property and lease management best practices and configure software solutions to meet requirements.
• Support software implementation phases including configuration, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
• Develop client-facing documentation, training materials, and process guides, and deliver remote and in-person training.
• Manage project activities, risks, and timelines while building trusted relationships across multiple client engagements.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Functional Consultant, Implementation Consultant, Solutions Consultant, or in a similar client-facing consulting role.
• Experience implementing, configuring, or supporting business software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of real estate, property management, lease administration, or occupier/investor business processes.
• Experience in a professional services or consulting environment with direct client engagement responsibilities.
• Ability to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a high standard of client service.
• Confidence delivering user training and client presentations.

Nice to have

• Experience with property management, lease administration, or real estate technology platforms.
• Experience leading or supporting software implementation projects.
• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Understanding of software implementation methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
