Senior Liability Claims Adjuster - Municipal Claims (FL License)

Location: Fully remote from home in the United States; services one client in south Florida. Must hold an active Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (5-20 or 6-20). Travel may be required for mediations, client status reporting, and other meetings.

Salary: $82,000–$86,000 per year.

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex, litigated, and high-exposure liability claims.
• Determine coverage, liability, damages, reserves, applicable insurance, and risk-transfer opportunities.
• Develop settlement, litigation, and defense strategies; work with defense attorneys and clients.
• Lead or participate in mediations, arbitrations, trials, claim reviews, and client status meetings.
• Maintain accurate claim files, diaries, correspondence, action plans, reserves, and regulatory documentation.
• Prepare and review claims and status reports and maintain applicable legal, statutory, licensing, and continuing-education knowledge.

Requirements

• Active Florida All-Lines Adjuster License (5-20 or 6-20).
• At least five years of experience handling all aspects of liability claims and subrogation.
• Experience with general liability, auto liability, complex liability, professional liability, and high-severity claims.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable statutes, accepted industry standards, and claims-handling practices.
• Ability to negotiate claim settlements and dispositions and interpret related documentation.
• Ability to use a personal computer and claims and business software.
• Ability to attend and effectively participate in mediations, claim reviews, and client status meetings.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively in writing and verbally, provide good customer service, and maintain strong organization, accuracy, attendance, and teamwork.
