Principal Program Manager (eCommerce)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA; onsite role.

Base pay: $180,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead strategic digital transformation initiatives and an integrated portfolio roadmap across hirify.global North America business units.
• Define governance, objectives, success measures, investment priorities, and value realization plans with executive stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams of more than 100 internal employees, contractors, global delivery partners, and third-party vendors across multiple POD teams.
• Manage program plans, budgets, forecasts, funding requests, schedules, dependencies, risks, vendor performance, contracts, and Statements of Work.
• Facilitate executive governance forums and provide recommendations on portfolio health, investments, risks, opportunities, and business outcomes.
• Mentor Program Managers and Project Managers and improve Digital Office standards, governance practices, and operating models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale programs, portfolios, or digital transformation initiatives with a focus on eCommerce solutions.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale programs exceeding $10M in annual investment.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional programs across multiple business units, technology platforms, and external partners.
• Experience leading global teams of internal employees, contractors, and third-party vendors, and managing interconnected projects, products, and workstreams.
• Ability to influence senior executives, drive alignment without direct authority, and work effectively in matrixed organizations.
• Financial acumen covering budgets, forecasts, business cases, investment planning, and return on investment.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, executive stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and Lean practices, plus Microsoft Project, Aha!, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Power BI, and related enterprise planning and reporting tools.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with digital transformation, customer experience, enterprise platform modernization, dealer-based distribution, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Commerce, and related digital experience platforms.
• Experience collaborating with teams across Japan, Europe, Asia, and North America.
• PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent program management certification.
• Experience building or maturing PMO, Program Management, or Digital Office operating models.
