Hardware Product Manager

What you will do

• Own the hardware and firmware roadmap for the Pulse family and next-generation devices, including OTA rollout gates.
• Translate product ideas into PRDs and specifications covering industrial design, on-device behavior, packaging, and the unboxing experience.
• Run new product introduction end to end with manufacturing partners through volume production, in coordination with Supply Chain.
• Control production specifications, revisions, and engineering changes before release to the production line.
• Secure CE and other market certifications, including cybersecurity and energy-regulation compliance.
• Track field failures and returns with Support, resolve issues in the field where possible, and improve subsequent product revisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in connected hardware product development, owning roadmaps and specifications.
• Experience taking one or more hardware products through the full development process and running NPI to volume production with a contract manufacturer.
• Experience leading CE certification, including LVD, EMC, and RED, with test laboratories.
• Experience owning the roadmap and specifications for products where hardware, firmware, and cloud meet, including OTA updates in the field.
• Technical depth to challenge engineering and supplier decisions, supported by an EE/ME degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to create structure in ambiguous environments and hold partners accountable for specifications, cost, and timelines.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with clear goals and high accountability.
• Motivation to use new AI tools and grow with hirify.global as it becomes more AI-enabled.

Nice to have

• Experience with energy hardware such as smart meters, EV chargers, or batteries.
• RMA and failure-analysis experience.
• Packaging regulation experience, including PPWR.
• Experience with B2B2C channels.
