Staff Design Program Manager (Seller Experience)

Location: Hybrid in Brooklyn, New York, United States; candidates should be within commutable distance of the Brooklyn office and attend once or twice per week. Remote candidates outside commuting distance may be considered case by case, with occasional office travel expected.

Salary: $173,000–$235,000 annual in Geo-1 or $156,000–$212,000 annual in Geo-2, depending on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead complex, high-stakes programs spanning multiple Seller Experience squads and cross-functional partners.
• Define objectives, establish priorities and roadmaps, surface tradeoffs, and align Seller and Inventory, Customer Operations, and Marketplace Services.
• Build scalable operating models, planning cadences, review rituals, and communication structures for design teams.
• Develop operational dashboards and reporting that translate data on team health, capacity, and progress into actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate Design with Product, Engineering, Research, and Brand, ensuring dependencies and product-release alignment are visible.
• Lead organizational change and create dashboards, leadership summaries, and cross-functional updates that make impact visible.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in program management, design operations, or a related field within a product development environment.
• End-to-end ownership of cross-functional programs across multiple teams, including defining objectives and building operational frameworks from scratch.
• Experience spanning multiple design teams or sub-groups simultaneously, with the ability to maintain coherence across different priorities and working styles.
• Deep familiarity with how design teams plan and ship work and how Design intersects with Product, Engineering, and Research across the product development lifecycle.
• Strong data instincts, including identifying meaningful measurements, building tracking systems, and translating findings into leadership recommendations.
• Experience with vendor evaluation, tool selection, and contract management for design teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt depth and format to different audiences.
• Familiarity with Jira, Figma, Notion, Claude, and Google Workspace.

• Experience on large teams, including 20+ person design organizations, at technology companies.
