Location: Hybrid role requiring onsite presence at least two days per week in a hardware lab in San Francisco or Oakland, California, United States.

Base salary: $193,800–$285,000 USD annually, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Program-manage the development, testing, validation, and manufacturing of current and next-generation robotics hardware.
• Support the development and manufacture of autonomous delivery robots for last-mile delivery.
• Take hardware projects from product requirements and engineering concepts through mass production and public-road operation.
• Coordinate Hardware, Software, Firmware, Controls, Autonomy, and Operations teams to plan work, track progress, and resolve issues.
• Manage domestic and international vendor relationships for prototyping and mass production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience in engineering and program management.
• Experience with software and hardware development processes and taking hardware from product requirements to overseas mass production.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs.
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanicals, electronics, firmware, software integration, autonomous vehicle sensor systems, and compute systems.
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet or MS Project, and Google Workspace.
