Experiential Producer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid role with in-office attendance 3 days per week.

Salary: $240,000–$266,000 base pay annually, plus equity, performance-related bonuses for eligible employees, and benefits.

What you will do

• Produce global launches, hands-on demos, cultural programs, large-scale events, booths, brand installations, and custom experiences that introduce audiences to OpenAI products.
• Work with Product, Marketing, and creative teams to turn concepts into production briefs and build plans for different audiences.
• Coordinate agencies, fabricators, technical specialists, venues, and vendors to develop prototypes and finished experiences.
• Run multiple projects independently, owning milestones, scopes, bids, negotiations, contracts, procurement, budgets, forecasts, deadlines, dependencies, and approvals.
• Lead booth builds, technical production, product integrations, AV, show calls, and on-site delivery while protecting quality, accessibility, safety, privacy, and brand standards.
• Use OpenAI tools throughout production and measure audience response, product engagement, business results, and partner feedback to improve future experiences, production tools, and vendor standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience producing experiential programs, brand activations, launches, installations, exhibitions, or live events, ideally for technology or complex products.
• Deep experience producing booths and custom builds, supported by a portfolio demonstrating sound design judgment, practical problem-solving, and careful execution.
• Experience working with Product, Engineering, or technical teams and curiosity about how OpenAI products work.
• Ability to own projects independently, set milestones, make decisions, and solve unfamiliar problems.
• A trusted network of agencies and vendors, strong negotiation skills, and judgment about using full-service agencies versus specialists.
• Experience adapting production for different audiences, cultures, event scales, and markets while maintaining consistent global standards.
• Strong collaboration, empathy, relationship-building, organization across multiple projects and substantial budgets, and flexibility to reprioritize under tight deadlines.
• High standards for quality and willingness to work hands-on, with a sense of humor and genuine enthusiasm.
