Director - Business Finance (Gambling)

What you will do

• Lead the Business Finance function for the Online Betting and Gaming business unit, including FP&A and Finance Business Partnering teams.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, business case development, financial reporting, and monthly performance analysis.
• Prepare Board of Directors materials and support external reporting, the equity story, and investor relations.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including integration of financial systems, processes, and reporting during the wider group integration.
• Drive commercial performance and cost optimisation by identifying risks and opportunities and providing strategic recommendations.
• Work with Strategy, Financial Control, Reporting, Group Finance, Performance, Investor Relations, and Data teams to improve planning, accounting quality, reporting, and data access.

Requirements

• Seasoned and experienced finance leader with proven experience influencing business outcomes at a senior level and significant experience in a comparable role.
• Strong technical accounting ability and the ability to interpret complex financial data and extract key points.
• Ability to translate complex data into formats understood by non-Finance stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness, business acumen, and understanding of the gambling industry.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, customer service, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Experience leading teams comprising individuals with several years of post-qualified experience.
• Experience presenting to executive management and/or a Board and managing upwards and downwards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, project management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to conduct complex business conversations, remain calm and poised, ask the right questions, and listen effectively.
