Finance Director | Retail Beauty

What you will do

• Own divisional month-end close processes and lead Nutrition consolidation and group reporting following business separation.
• Ensure balance sheet governance, financial accuracy, control, compliance, and reporting quality across the division.
• Lead commercial analysis, P&L challenge, profit improvement, cost management, working capital initiatives, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Support international expansion, organisational transformation, and business separation programmes.
• Partner with supply chain, trading, marketing, Tax, Treasury, Group Reporting, commercial finance, and shared services teams.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary finance team of up to 25 colleagues while improving operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA and significant senior finance leadership experience in a complex, international organisation.
• End-to-end ownership of P&L and balance sheet, with strong expertise in financial control, reporting, consolidation, and compliance.
• Commercial finance experience covering profit improvement, cost management, working capital optimisation, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Credible and influential strategic partnering skills, including challenging and guiding non-financial stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience supporting international expansion, transformation programmes, or business separations.
• Experience managing and developing large, multidisciplinary finance teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to operate strategically across a broad agenda.
• Excellent communication skills across divisional and group finance environments.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, review spend approvals, identify risks and opportunities, and maintain effective collaboration across finance functions.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer goods, beauty, personal care, or FMCG.
• Exposure to international business models.
• Good understanding of ecommerce.
• Experience driving finance transformation, systems optimisation, and process improvements.
