Managing Director, Fund Accounting (Europe)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the European fund accounting team, setting standards for accounting quality, timely delivery, and client service.
• Oversee accounting controls, complex accounting matters, financial reporting, and audit readiness.
• Own customer experience and business performance across the European Fund Administration portfolio, primarily serving the UK and Luxembourg.
• Scale delivery capacity and improve processes across Venture Capital and Private Equity fund administration, implementation, data collection, and support.
• Build trusted relationships with fund CFOs, COOs, and General Partners while driving retention, expansion, product adoption, and client satisfaction.
• Partner with product, engineering, and R&D to solve client problems, represent fund accounting requirements, and improve service quality through technology and automation.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in client-facing roles, with a record of improving client engagement, satisfaction, contract value, upsells, and expansion.
• Deep expertise in European Venture Capital, Private Equity, and fund administration.
• Proven experience leading fund accounting teams and developing talent.
• Deep knowledge of the UK and Luxembourg fund administration markets.
• Strong judgment, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and executive-level recommendation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and drive results across multiple functions.

• Experience with Jersey and Guernsey fund structures.
