Finance Director

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, with hybrid arrangements. Occasional UK and international travel is required, including flexibility for board, investor and international stakeholder meetings.

Salary: £100,000–£120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Lead financial strategy, integrated budgets, forecasts, scenario analysis and long-term planning.
• Own cash forecasting, liquidity planning, working capital and funding requirements.
• Lead finance workstreams for equity fundraising, investor engagement, due diligence and financing transactions.
• Oversee management accounts, board reporting, KPI dashboards, financial controls, treasury, payroll-related controls, tax compliance and audit coordination.
• Assess pricing, venue economics, manufacturing and deployment costs, capital expenditure, inventory, product costing and contract margins.
• Develop the finance team, improve systems and support international expansion through stronger reporting, controls and foreign-currency visibility.

Requirements

• Recognised professional accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent international qualification.
• Senior finance leadership experience in a growing SME, scale-up or entrepreneurial business, with ownership of the finance function.
• Strong cash management, working capital, budgeting, forecasting and integrated financial modelling skills.
• Experience supporting or leading a capital raise, investor process or significant financing transaction.
• Experience working with CEOs, boards, investors and non-finance leaders, and leading and developing a finance team.
• Experience in technology, physical products, manufacturing, equipment deployment or other operationally complex businesses, plus advanced Excel and financial systems experience.

• Experience with international expansion, multi-country reporting or businesses operating across multiple sites.
• Private equity, growth investment or transaction due diligence experience.
