DFT Design Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

What you will do

• Evaluate and develop DFT test methodologies that meet guaranteed specifications and screen silicon defects in support of product quality.
• Assist DFT Engineers with implementing defined DFT architectures.
• Use CAD tools to simulate logic behavior and circuit performance.
• Apply VLSI structural design methodologies and automate design flows.
• Implement DFT designs across synthesis, floor planning, power-grid and clock-tree design, timing budgeting and closure, place and route, RC extraction, and integration.
• Develop AI capabilities, agents, and agentic AI flows for DFT and VLSI design activities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or Computer Science.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Unix, VLSI design, SoC/PC architecture, SystemVerilog, or DFT methodologies.
