Legal Counsel (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Advise internal teams on US healthcare compliance, including HIPAA/HITECH, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, the False Claims Act, and FDA regulations where applicable.
• Draft, review, and negotiate Clinical Trial Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, managed care and provider contracts, SaaS and software licenses, vendor agreements, and strategic partnerships.
• Work with Compliance and IT Security to align product features, data-sharing pipelines, and patient interactions with HIPAA, state privacy laws including CCPA/CPRA, and emerging health data rules.
• Identify legal and operational risks across product launches, marketing initiatives, and clinical integrations, and provide pragmatic compliance solutions.
• Handle pre-litigation disputes, oversee regulatory inquiries, and support internal compliance investigations.
• Coordinate with external counsel on regulatory filings, intellectual property, and litigation matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Active bar admission in good standing in at least one US state.
• 8+ years of practicing law.
• Significant experience in-house at a US medical device, biotech, digital health, or healthcare delivery company, or in a recognized healthcare practice group at a national law firm.
• Expertise in core US healthcare frameworks, including HIPAA, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and FDA guidelines.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements in the medical or life sciences sector.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate legal concepts into actionable advice for cross-functional business partners.
• Fluency in English is mandatory. CV/resume and cover letter submissions must be in English.
