Legal Regulatory Consultant (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii

Base pay: $69,800–$125,900 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Monitor and analyze national, state, and federal legislative and regulatory activity affecting HCSC and its subsidiaries or affiliates.
• Research legislative and regulatory sources using electronic databases and other resources.
• Prepare summaries and updates on legislative and regulatory actions for attorneys and government relations teams.
• Educate and support business and implementation teams on relevant legal requirements.
• Conduct and support multi-state regulatory research with legal and business teams.
• Evaluate and re-engineer internal business processes and support business reporting and strategic problem-solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of business or project management experience, or 9 years of business or project management experience.
• At least 3 years of regulatory or legislative experience.
• Knowledge of legislative processes, regulatory processes, healthcare business processes, and enterprise operations.
• Experience analyzing and drafting summaries of legislative and regulatory legal requirements.
• Experience communicating legal requirements to senior staff and working independently amid changing priorities.
• Strong writing, executive presentation, verbal communication, facilitation, decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or J.D.
