Bid Project Manager (Hydrogen Systems)

Location: Madrid, Tres Cantos, Spain; hybrid remote/office work with approximately 20% international travel.

What you will do

• Lead bid preparation for complex industrial and energy projects, coordinating multidisciplinary technical and commercial experts.
• Analyze customer RFQs and RFIs, coordinate proposed technical solutions, and ensure customer-specific requirements are reflected in technical and commercial offers.
• Define business models, develop winning strategies, and optimize project solutions with a holistic business perspective.
• Lead bid and negotiation activities while managing quality, schedule, cost, risks, and opportunities.
• Align engineering, sales, legal, finance, project execution teams, customers, authorities, partners, and suppliers.
• Prepare commercial, technical, financial, and contractual status reports, support bid portfolio reviews, and facilitate handover of awarded projects to execution.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of experience in project management, bid management, proposal management, or sales project management within large-scale industrial, energy, infrastructure, or EPC environments.
• Strong experience delivering complex system- or solution-based projects in an international environment.
• Technical background in engineering, R&D, or industrial project execution.
• Ability to lead multicultural and cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
• Strong stakeholder management skills involving customers, executive leadership, authorities, partners, and suppliers.
• Experience assessing project risks, developing commercial strategies, and supporting contract negotiations.
• Passion for renewable energy, decarbonization technologies, and the energy transition.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required, approximately 20%.
