Wintel Engineer (Secure) - Hampshire

Location: Farnborough, Hampshire, United Kingdom; 5 days on-site. Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet UK Government and contractual personnel security and applicable residency requirements; some roles may have nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Implement part or all of agreed technical solutions for clients.
• Create detailed technical designs for enterprise solutions when required.
• Provide technical leadership for integration activities and small to medium technical projects.
• Support solution architecture and technology planning across multiple-system environments.
• Advise clients on solution and integration opportunities and maintain effective customer relationships.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, proposal development, pre-sales activities, and the company solutions portfolio.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; without a degree, 8+ years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Depth and breadth of technical knowledge sufficient to own the design and scope of deliverables within a technical discipline.
• Experience leading a small team in delivery of a specific deliverable.
• Mastery of at least one technical discipline and strong knowledge of at least three major technology areas.
• Advanced business, technical, or functional knowledge and the ability to resolve problems involving combinations and interactions of products.
• Ability to apply technology and consulting skills to solve client business problems and communicate complex issues confidently.
• Consulting skills including questioning, listening, idea development, rapport-building, and influencing.
• Ability to lead client status and technical meetings, create customer documentation, write proposal and RFP responses, and translate technical information into clear written materials.
• Ability to clarify requirements, develop high-level designs or plans, estimate delivery effort, advise on risks, and contribute to technical proposals and reports.
