Area Manager – Lift

Location: Bischofsheim bei Frankfurt, Germany; on-site at the fulfillment center; flexible shifts including weekends and holidays are required.

What you will do

• Lead daily fulfillment-center operations across shifts, meeting targets for safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost per order.
• Own and execute a site-level step-change project to eliminate operational defects and optimize complex fulfillment workflows.
• Lead and inspire frontline operations associates and team leaders while building engagement, accountability, and safety compliance.
• Work with Safety, OpEx, HR, IT, Maintenance, and Finance to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into operational strategies.
• Support site leaders with labor planning, workflow design, and weekly business reviews.
• Complete an accelerated 12-month development path toward broader country-wide and cross-functional operations leadership.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in people management, logistics, manufacturing, or operations.
• Strong ability to interpret complex datasets, identify root causes, and solve operational problems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead large teams in a fast-paced environment.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and ability to make calculated decisions under operational pressure.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, directly on the fulfillment-center floor.
• English proficiency is required.

Nice to have

• University degree or MBA.
• Background in e-commerce or supply chain.
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
