Product Development Leader - Europe (Cyber Insurance)

Location: Fully remote, based in one of the offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Munich or Brussels; willingness to meet at the office regularly and travel across Europe is required.

What you will do

• Define and own the European cyber insurance product roadmap in line with growth plans and new markets.
• Build, lead, and develop the product development team, setting priorities, standards, and ways of working.
• Design, launch, improve, and adapt policies, extensions, sector solutions, services, wordings, endorsements, and proposal forms for European markets.
• Lead product governance, approvals, product reviews, and regulatory documentation in line with insurance distribution rules.
• Work with Underwriting, Claims, CERT, Legal & Compliance, Sales, Marketing, brokers, carriers, and reinsurers on coverage, profitability, launches, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor competitors, cyber threats, claims trends, case law, regulation, and broker and insured feedback; represent hirify.global at conferences and industry events.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in insurance product development, wordings, underwriting, or claims across Europe or internationally.
• Proven cyber insurance experience.
• Track record of drafting and managing policy wordings and launching new products or entering new markets.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team.
• Working knowledge of insurance product and cyber-risk regulation, including product governance, IDD / POG, GDPR, and NIS2 / DORA.
• Legal background, including a law degree or legal practice.
• Fluent English and fluency in at least one other European language, ideally French, Spanish, or German.
• Ability to build trust across teams, manage several product launches, make pragmatic decisions, take accountability, write clearly, and present complex coverage simply.

Nice to have

• Experience in other commercial lines such as D&O, PI, FI, or property.
• Creativity with wording and ease drafting technical and complex clauses.
• Additional European languages.
