Director of Product (Platform)

Location: Remote-first, Germany-wide; regular team gatherings in Berlin and other off-site locations. Willingness to travel to customers approximately 10–20% is required. Authorization to work in Germany is required.

hirify.global is building a next-generation, Kubernetes-based data intelligence platform delivered as B2B SaaS or self-hosted on-premise software, including air-gapped deployments, for defense, law enforcement, and enterprise customers.

What you will do

• Own product strategy and the portfolio roadmap across OIP and Civitas’ Sentinel, deciding what becomes shared platform capability and what remains customer-specific engineering.
• Build and lead the product organisation by hiring and developing Product Managers and aligning discovery, prioritisation, and delivery standards.
• Define product effectiveness, customer activity, and usage metrics, including measurement logic and resulting actions.
• Lead discovery with the Government Development team and customers, translating requirements into product decisions.
• Prioritise competing customer, tender, and platform demands and communicate the commercial consequences of those decisions.
• Plan deliverable releases with Engineering and QA while assessing market, competitive, and technology developments in the defense and simulation space.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience with complex technical products, preferably in Analytics or SaaS, including several years leading Product Managers or a product organisation.
• Proven track record of delivering products from discovery through customer rollout with nameable outcomes, not just roadmaps.
• Experience with B2B or B2G products in long, formal procurement cycles and with demanding enterprise or public-sector customers.
• Experience making platform decisions against customer-specific exceptions and explaining the commercial consequences of both paths.
• Ability to make decisions with incomplete information, take ownership, and work without mature processes.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English across various hierarchy levels.
• Willingness to travel to customers approximately 10–20%.
• Authorization to work in Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense, GovTech, or data fusion; military or law-enforcement background is an advantage.
• Experience with data analytics platforms.
• Experience with on-premise, offline, or air-gapped products and their consequences for product decisions.
• Experience building a product organisation in a startup or scale-up.
