Head of Product (Defence)

Location: Delft, the Netherlands; hybrid setup around the Delft office

hirify.global is a fast-growing deep-tech start-up developing software for advanced on-board UAV situational awareness in military applications, using widely available sensors and compute for scalable solutions.

What you will do

• Own and articulate the company-wide product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization across the portfolio.
• Translate operator needs, market signals, and partner requirements into product direction for engineering.
• Manage a modular portfolio spanning detection, navigation, interception, and related capabilities.
• Define product usability, onboarding, training, documentation, pricing, packaging, and business models.
• Shape go-to-market plans with commercial and business development teams, including positioning, capability briefs, and demos.
• Build the product function by hiring, mentoring, and introducing lightweight product processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product experience with senior ownership of product strategy, roadmaps, and portfolios in technical product environments.
• Experience across the start-up-to-scale-up journey and the ability to operate hands-on in a fast-moving team.
• Strong ability to connect customers and market needs with engineering and communicate effectively in technical discussions.
• Experience with pricing, packaging, business models, and go-to-market execution.
• Focus on user adoption, usability, onboarding, training, and documentation.
• Full-time availability and hybrid work around the Delft office are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in defence, drones/UAV, aerospace, dual-use, or other high-stakes technology.
• Experience with export control, procurement, certification, standards, or other regulated environments.
• Experience building and leading a product team from an early stage.
