Audio Systems Realization Engineer

Location: Shenzhen, China; willingness to travel within China and overseas as project needs require

What you will do

• Act as the Audio Systems technical point of contact for manufacturing partners throughout each build phase.
• Diagnose and root-cause issues spanning acoustics, electronics, DSP, software, and test systems, coordinating resolutions with relevant teams.
• Support the development, setup, and improvement of production-line and validation test systems.
• Perform and interpret electrical and acoustic audio measurements.
• Build tools, scripts, and test content for audio testing during development and manufacturing.
• Support programmes from exploration through mass production, investigate line issues and unit-to-unit variation, and contribute to audio design and system and test requirements.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in acoustics or a related field.
• At least 7 years of audio product development experience in consumer electronics, including direct experience in a systems, realization, or equivalent cross-functional role.
• Hands-on experience with headphones and loudspeakers or other wearable audio products, including knowledge of their specific issues.
• Experience supporting products from exploration through mass production, including time on a manufacturing line.
• Strong electronic and acoustic test and measurement expertise, with the ability to diagnose issues across hardware, software, and DSP.
• Solid understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals.
• Proficiency building tools for data analysis, test automation, and system simulation.
• Deep knowledge of MATLAB.
• Experience manipulating physical prototypes to achieve accurate acoustic results.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to cross-functional and partner teams.
• Fluent spoken and written Mandarin for collaboration with manufacturing partners.
• Willingness to travel within China and overseas as project needs require.

Nice to have

• Experience with Klippel.
• Software programming experience.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Familiarity with simulation software such as COMSOL.
