Senior Test Engineer (Optical Transceiver)

What you will do

• Design, develop, set up, and maintain test systems and automated test solutions for optical transceiver products.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures, and document test results.
• Analyze test data, identify product and test-related issues, and lead root cause analysis and resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Support new product introduction from development through production ramp with test strategy, technical guidance, and engineering support.
• Improve test methods, processes, and automation to increase efficiency, accuracy, stability, and coverage.
• Maintain test specifications, technical documentation, and operating procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Optical Communication, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in optical transceiver, optical communication, or related product testing.
• Strong knowledge of optical transceiver fundamentals, test methodologies, and IEEE and MSA standards.
• Hands-on experience with optical and high-speed test equipment, including optical power meters, optical spectrum analyzers, BERTs, and oscilloscopes.
• Programming experience with Python, C#, or LabVIEW for test software and automation development, plus experience with test fixture design and automated test system integration.
• Good written and verbal English skills are required for understanding technical documentation. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, independent working, and cross-functional communication skills are also required.
