Buyer/Planner

What you will do

• Manage purchasing, materials requirements planning, inventory levels, supplier performance, and ERP data across the product manufacturing life cycle.
• Partner with product quality, order fulfillment, manufacturing engineering, sourcing, new product introduction, and logistics teams to support customer delivery.
• Manage suppliers and supply chain vendors to reduce material shortages, excess and obsolete inventory, and production risk.
• Review purchase requisitions, execute engineering changes and deviations, and support product introduction, growth, phase-out, and last-time-buy activities.
• Maintain ERP purchasing and planning data, including source lists, buyer codes, lead times, minimum order quantities, reorder points, and safety stocks.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with accounts payable and support supplier selection, performance, cost, and delivery objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in supply chain procurement, planning, or sourcing desired.
• Experience using NetSuite or equivalent ERP database systems.
• Ability to understand material requirements planning, inventory impact on cash flow, costing activities, and price negotiation.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including management updates, oral and written presentations, supplier status summaries, and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals and meet objectives.

Nice to have

• Experience purchasing electro-mechanical assemblies with PCBA content.
• Experience in lean manufacturing, supply chain, and inventory stocking strategies.
• Experience using third-party logistics for finished-goods storage and distribution.
• Experience using artificial intelligence to solve problems and improve efficiency.
