Technical Buyer (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid role based in Eindhoven (Strijp-T), Netherlands. Hours: 40 per week.

What you will do

• Own purchasing activities for production, prototypes, service and support, and operational needs.
• Manage reordering and purchasing rules using production plans, project planning, and consumption data.
• Partner with Engineering during NPI on supplier selection, technical sourcing, production techniques, and design-for-manufacturing improvements.
• Build supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, quality, lead times, contracts, and long-term collaboration.
• Optimise procurement workflows, ERP purchasing processes, and supplier collaboration methods.
• Monitor component lifecycles, market developments, supply risks, budgets, and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in technical buying, strategic procurement, or supply chain within a technical production environment.
• Experience with supplier selection and sourcing decisions during NPI or product development.
• Understanding of production techniques, manufacturing methods, BOM structures, and technical documentation.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to balance cost, quality, lead time, and risk.
• Proactive, analytical, hands-on, and comfortable improving processes in a fast-growing organisation.
• Working proficiency in spoken and written English and a degree from an applied university or university-level institution.

Nice to have

• Experience in a scale-up or high-tech production environment.
• Experience developing scalable procurement processes and mitigating component obsolescence or shortages.
