Material Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Dalmine, Bergamo, Italy; hybrid work model

Minimum annual salary: €36,000 plus eligibility for a company productivity bonus.

What you will do

• Execute daily plant-level material requirements planning activities and manage material and production requirements in line with manufacturing schedules.
• Monitor schedule adherence, expedite materials, manage MRP exception messages, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure material availability for uninterrupted production while supporting cycle counts and annual inventory activities.
• Segment the materials portfolio using ABC/XYZ analysis, support product lifecycle management, and define inventory policies.
• Collaborate with Procurement to improve supplier delivery, flexibility, responsiveness, minimum order quantities, and lead times.
• Prepare inventory and supply chain performance reports, manage purchase orders, and support inventory and working capital targets.

Requirements

• Academic background or professional experience in materials planning, supply chain management, inventory management, operations, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain, or a similar role in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP systems and strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Macros.
• Analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented approach with strong ownership and continuous improvement skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Fluent Italian and English, written and spoken.
