Manufacturing – DUV XT Technical Support Engineer

Location: Taoyuan City, Taiwan; Linkou, Taiwan. Onsite role supporting rotating manufacturing shifts.

What you will do

• Own technical troubleshooting within an assigned XT system scope and drive end-to-end resolution of system disturbances.
• Perform root-cause analysis using system data, logs, failure mechanisms, and structured problem-solving methods.
• Develop containment, recovery, and solution approaches to restore system performance while maintaining quality and output targets.
• Analyze mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems and prepare technical recommendations for escalation and decision-making.
• Identify recurring issues, implement improvement actions, and support best-known methods to improve cycle time, stability, and reliability.
• Develop troubleshooting training, share technical learnings, and support onboarding and mentoring of junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a high-tech production, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and diagnosing complex systems or equipment.
• Solid understanding of failure analysis, problem-solving methodologies, and quality principles.
• Ability to perform structured, data-based analysis and use logical reasoning to identify root causes.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability in resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Good communication skills for collaboration and technical discussions across teams.
• Basic English proficiency for technical communication and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment, precision systems, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple subsystems.
• Familiarity with structured RCA methodologies and data-driven problem solving.
• Exposure to system-level thinking and cross-functional technical collaboration.
• Strong ownership, logical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good English communication skills for technical discussion and reporting.

• Shift Pattern A operates seven days per week with approximately 50% day shifts from 08:00–17:00 and 50% night shifts from 16:00–01:00; rest days rotate.
• Shift Pattern B follows a four-days-on, three-days-off rotation with day shifts from 06:00–17:00 and night shifts from 16:00–03:00, rotating every three weeks.
• Shift Pattern B provides guaranteed days off through fixed Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday schedules, including regular weekend time off.
