Manager Advanced Manufacturing

What you will do

• Lead, develop, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing and project engineers while setting team objectives and priorities.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Operations to develop manufacturable product designs, robust assembly processes, and manufacturing readiness for new product introductions and major transitions.
• Support manufacturing footprint optimization, capacity expansion, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional projects covering scope, schedules, resources, risk mitigation, capital budgets, equipment specification, procurement, installation, and qualification.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and root-cause problem-solving methods to improve process and operational performance.
• Build relationships with plant leadership and stakeholders across Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Finance, equipment suppliers, and plant personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering/Engineering Technology, or equivalent; other degrees may be considered with relevant work experience.
• At least five years of experience in high-volume discrete manufacturing.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, planning, and execution, as well as capital equipment procurement.
• Experience with new product development, PFMEA, and design for manufacturability.
• Experience and working knowledge of 2D and 3D design; Siemens NX and AutoCAD are preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work closely with management, Product Engineering, peers, equipment suppliers, and plant personnel.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree focused on engineering or business/project management.
• Ten or more years of related experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Five or more years of experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Five years of experience in project management and capital equipment procurement.
• Experience leading in a matrix organization.
• Certified Lean training.
