Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Location: Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico; associated with the existing Nuevo Laredo work location at hire and expected to transition to a new facility within approximately five miles when it opens. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing engineering functions and develop world-class manufacturing processes, governance, and control mechanisms.
• Partner with operations, product managers, product engineering, and suppliers to support product group objectives and manufacturing readiness.
• Lead capital investment opportunities, capacity planning, production schedules, equipment availability, and material schedules to improve OEE and meet demand.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize assembly layouts, process footprints, operating methods, equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
• Supervise manufacturing engineering and support functions covering machines, tooling, work standards, gage planning, technical troubleshooting, and quality production.
• Manage facility and production readiness across new product introduction, new capital introduction, and new source introduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent English.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Analytical ability, excellent oral and written communication skills, and thorough knowledge of domestic and foreign supplier capabilities.
• Previous supervisory leadership experience within manufacturing operations.
• Working knowledge of capacity planning and management, decision-making and critical thinking, performance management, manufacturing equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing, manufacturing equipment, and manufacturing processes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of hirify.global Reman products.
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Advanced project management skills.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
