Water Engineer (Municipal Infrastructure)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work indicated by #LI-Hybrid.

Base compensation: $82,400–$103,000 annually.

What you will do

• Build and maintain customer relationships, support proposals, and help increase the current market position.
• Manage and actively participate in municipal infrastructure projects.
• Direct design teams throughout project phases and review drawings and engineering reports.
• Liaise with municipal, utility, and approval agencies.
• Manage project finances and schedules, communicate with clients, and support quality initiatives.
• Mentor intermediate team members and junior engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation.
• 5–8+ years of municipal infrastructure design experience for public-sector projects in Southern Ontario and Canada.
• Familiarity with local planning and approval processes.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, associates, and clients, and to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Client-focused approach, commitment to innovation, integrity, ethical conduct, sustainability, and collaboration in diverse and inclusive teams.
