Staff Product Designer (UI Platform)

Location: Hybrid in Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; or Washington, DC, with two required local office days per week. In-person orientation is required during the first week at the San Francisco or Chicago office.

Annual base salary: $156,000–$214,000 USD for candidates located in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, or Washington. Equity, bonus, health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, PTO, and parental leave may also apply.

What you will do

• Partner with the Design Systems team to identify, create, document, and promote scalable, accessible WCAG-compliant, and localized UI patterns across products.
• Partner with cross-functional UI Platform leads to align design strategy and co-own the roadmap across features, technical debt, quality, and adoption.
• Serve as a design systems and UI platform expert for horizontal design patterns, design architecture, localization, globalization, and accessibility standards.
• Enable Research and Development teams through clear alignment and documentation while improving organization-wide design processes.
• Use data and AI insights to guide platform-level design decisions and streamline governance.
• Mentor designers, provide candid feedback, and maintain a high quality bar across product and feature teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
• Degree in a related field or relevant work experience as a Product Designer.
• Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Balsamiq, and/or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in AI workflows and applying AI to product design, including judgment about where AI tools help and where they fall short.
• Experience with systems thinking, scalable and extensible solutions, customer-focused UX principles, and cohesive user experiences.
• Strong communication skills, the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, and the ability to own all stages of design for multiple teams.
• A portfolio demonstrating complex projects across conceptual, interaction, information architecture, and visual design, including large horizontal scopes and groups; large-scale enterprise and SaaS product experience is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage ambiguity, uphold high craft quality, and provide design feedback and mentorship.

• Experience with large-scale enterprise and SaaS products.
• Examples of design work in code included in the portfolio.
