Senior Product Designer (Healthtech)

Location: NYC hybrid; U.S. work authorization required

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Lead design vision and execution from problem framing and prototyping through engineering handoff and post-launch iteration.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to clarify requirements, identify anti-patterns, assess trade-offs, and shape phased delivery plans.
• Translate clinical workflows, billing logic, and regulatory constraints into intuitive user experiences.
• Deliver high-quality visual design across screens, states, and user flows.
• Evolve the design system through feature work and collaborate with front-end engineering on implementation.
• Mentor designers through pairing, critique, and feedback.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of product design experience at a fast-paced, design-led software company.
• Exceptional visual design fundamentals and strong knowledge of UX patterns and anti-patterns.
• Hands-on experience building, maintaining, documenting, and evolving a functional design system.
• Ability to understand complex, compliance-heavy domains and simplify them into intuitive interfaces.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers across multiple squads.
• Strong HTML and CSS fundamentals, including Flexbox, CSS Grid, responsive behavior, semantics, and accessibility.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, fintech, legal tech, insurance, or another regulated, high-complexity domain.
• Experience with AI-assisted design tools or real-code prototyping workflows.
• A clear perspective on design craft, design culture, and effective design-team practices.
