Business Controls, Senior Advisor (Risk Management)

Location: Hybrid in Irwindale, California, US; employees must report to an SCE facility for a set number of days and work remotely on remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees must work and reside in California. Participation in an on-call Incident Management Team rotation is expected approximately every four to six weeks.

Salary: $161,700–$242,600 per year.

What you will do

• Develop SOX, regulatory, and operational controls and oversee their implementation across the company.
• Lead quality management activities, quality reviews, risk assessments, audits, and compliance-control evaluations.
• Support remediation of compliance issues by recommending corrective controls and mitigation strategies.
• Analyze complex technical problems, data, and process flows, then deliver strategic recommendations and executive-level presentations.
• Lead cross-functional implementation and integration of business operations software and systems while coordinating with operations, finance, technology, auditors, system integration partners, and leadership.
• Support emergency response and business continuity efforts through Incident Management Team participation and on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience implementing policies, processes, controls, and system improvements.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, cybersecurity, risk management, or another relevant field.
• Five or more years of experience in risk management, governance, compliance, process management, and/or quality assurance.
• Five or more years of project management experience.
• Five or more years of continuous improvement experience.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including collaboration across departments and fields and the ability to influence and negotiate sensitive information.
• Ability to analyze information accurately, translate technical concepts, make strategic decisions and recommendations, and guide decision-making by identifying the benefits, consequences, and impacts of alternatives.
