Senior Director, Corporate Security & Crisis Management

Location: San Diego, CA, US (preferred); Los Angeles or San Mateo, CA also considered. Hybrid with a minimum of two days onsite per week.

Salary: $228,600–$343,000 USD annual base pay

What you will do

• Lead and evolve the global corporate security strategy across a complex multinational organization.
• Oversee physical, travel, and event security, as well as Global Security Operations Center operations.
• Direct crisis management, emergency response, business continuity, simulations, training, and recovery programs.
• Establish risk thresholds, escalation protocols, governance practices, and scalable security standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop a global corporate security team while strengthening cross-functional partnerships.
• Manage security providers, budgets, resources, performance reporting, and executive security communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Progressive corporate security, crisis management, or business continuity experience, including at least five years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Experience leading global corporate security operations in a large, complex, multinational organization.
• Deep knowledge of physical security, risk assessment, incident response, crisis management, and business continuity.
• Experience overseeing security technologies, systems, programs, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, judgment, and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.

Nice to have

• Certified Protection Professional, Certified Business Continuity Professional, or equivalent certification.
• Experience in technology, gaming, entertainment, or another fast-paced industry.
• Broad international experience with regional security risks, regulatory considerations, and cultural nuances.
• Experience modernizing or scaling security operations in an evolving global business environment.
