Loss Control Manager (Property and Casualty)

Location: Remote - Illinois

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annual

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and improve loss-control programs for trusts, pools, and associations.
• Conduct property and casualty evaluations across properties, operations, vehicles, and facilities.
• Deliver safety presentations and training for small groups, large conferences, and online audiences.
• Develop and administer property appraisal systems using field data and electronic measuring tools.
• Analyze claims and loss data, identify trends, and prioritize high-impact initiatives.
• Build client relationships, present quarterly performance reports, manage the department budget, and collaborate with claims, underwriting, and program administration.

Requirements

• Experience in property and casualty insurance loss control, risk management, safety, or property inspection.
• Strong knowledge of commercial property and casualty loss-control principles and property appraisal methods.
• Ability to conduct field inspections, evaluate exposures, and develop practical recommendations.
• Excellent written, verbal, public-speaking, and presentation skills.
• Analytical and mathematical aptitude, including the ability to explain data to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; a valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly, including overnight travel.

Nice to have

• CPCU, ARM, CRM, CSP, or another relevant professional designation.
• Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance, safety, business, engineering, construction, public administration, or a related field.
• Experience with public entities, governmental organizations, school districts, institutional clients, safety programs, conferences, professional associations, or board meetings.
