Director - Credit

Location: Somerset, NJ, USA; ability to travel to company, partner, and customer events up to 25%.

Estimated annual pay range: $175,000–$225,000, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the credit, collections, and accounts receivable function to support cash flow performance, working capital objectives, and responsible growth.
• Develop and maintain credit policies, approval standards, credit limit guidelines, and governance practices.
• Oversee customer credit evaluations, payment-term recommendations, account monitoring, and portfolio risk management.
• Design collections strategies to reduce outstanding receivables, improve cash conversion, and resolve payment issues.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, Legal, Operations, and business leaderhirify.globalp to balance commercial priorities with credit discipline.
• Monitor receivables aging, credit exposure, payment trends, and risk indicators while building and developing a high-performing team.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of customer credit risk, credit limit management, collections operations, accounts receivable, and portfolio monitoring.
• Ability to evaluate customer financial information, payment history, credit exposure, and business context to make sound credit decisions.
• Strong understanding of cash flow, working capital, receivables aging, collection effectiveness, and financial controls.
• Experience developing scalable credit policies, procedures, approval frameworks, reporting standards, and operating practices.
• Ability to partner effectively with Finance, Sales, Legal, Operations, and business leaders while maintaining financial controls and credit discipline.
• Strong leaderhirify.globalp, executive communication, team development, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in credit, collections, accounts receivable, financial operations, or customer risk management.
• Prior experience leading a credit, collections, accounts receivable, or order-to-cash function within a large, complex, or high-growth organization, including 4+ years in a management position.
• Experience leading teams, managing stakeholder priorities, and driving measurable improvements in receivables performance, cash flow, or operational efficiency.
• Ability to travel to company, partner, and customer events up to 25%.
