Director, Revenue Accounting (Fintech)

Location: United States; remote-first

Salary: $146,700–$216,300 USD annually, depending on geographic zone

What you will do

• Manage daily revenue accounting operations and high-volume transaction processing across subscription, transaction, rewards, and multi-element arrangements.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, variance analysis, and accounts receivable operations.
• Support the design, implementation, testing, and optimization of next-generation core accounting systems.
• Translate accounting policies and US GAAP requirements into journal-entry workflows, ERP configurations, and automated sub-ledger processes.
• Partner with Finance Operations, Finance Strategy, hirify.globaling Support, Product, and Engineering to integrate new products into revenue accounting systems.
• Coordinate external audits and lead, develop, and mentor operational accountants and contractors.

Requirements

• Active CPA certification and 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years leading operational revenue accounting at a public company.
• Hands-on experience with SaaS or subscription revenue, transaction-based payment fees, rewards, and multi-element arrangements.
• Operational knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 310, and ASC 326, including translating policy into journal-entry logic and ERP or sub-ledger configurations.
• Experience with high-volume transactional data, data mapping, automation, and collaboration with engineering or business systems teams.
• Experience owning revenue-related SOX controls and serving as the primary operational contact for external auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Fintech experience with payments, SaaS, and lending products on one platform.
• Experience with core accounting system implementation or ERP migration.
• Familiarity with Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, revenue sub-ledgers, or loan servicing software.
