Automation Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and implement industrial automation and control systems projects from concept through commissioning.
• Design and implement automation solutions using AVEVA Wonderware HMI/SCADA, Siemens PLCs, and WinCC SCADA.
• Commission new equipment and modernize production systems through automation upgrades and retrofit projects.
• Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, SCADA systems, drives, instrumentation, and industrial communication networks.
• Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain automation documentation, coordinate suppliers and system integrators, and support safety, quality, environmental, digitalization, continuous improvement, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation, process control, or manufacturing automation environments.
• Experience across the full automation project lifecycle, including design, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of Siemens PLC systems, including S7 and TIA Portal.
• Expertise in AVEVA Wonderware HMI/SCADA platforms and Siemens WinCC SCADA.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication networks and protocols, including Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus TCP.
• Experience with VFDs, servo drives, instrumentation, and process measurement systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies; proficient in English.
