Lead of Industrial Turbine Controls

Location: Hybrid in Portugal, Lisboa, Amadora; collaboration with the Controls Engineering organization in Erlangen, Germany; travel of approximately 25% may be required.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the Controls Engineering team in Lisbon.
• Oversee industrial steam turbine Controls projects from handover through engineering, procurement support, FAT, commissioning support, handover, and closure.
• Manage project scope, schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, changes, costs, quality, and stakeholder communication.
• Standardize Controls architectures, templates, workflows, tools, and reusable solutions across global engineering locations.
• Coordinate requirements for control systems, automation, HMI, network architecture, cybersecurity, documentation, system interfaces, and commissioning.
• Strengthen resource planning, competency development, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a comparable technical field.
• Several years of experience in Controls Engineering, automation, industrial steam turbines, power generation, systems engineering, project management, or technical team leadership.
• Knowledge of industrial turbine Controls, DCS, PLC, HMI, network architecture, industrial communication, cybersecurity, instrumentation interfaces, FAT, and commissioning.
• Several years of project management experience covering scope, schedules, costs, risks, customer requirements, deliverables, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, decision-making, and continuous improvement skills.
• Fluent Portuguese and English, written and spoken, are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with T3000, PCS7, SIMATIC, S7, COMOS, EPLAN, Configuration Management systems, or comparable industrial Controls tools.
