Project Manager (Software/Firmware)

Location: Boise, Idaho, United States; onsite position

Salary: $82,000–$122,900 annually for Project Manager II. Other levels: Project Manager I: $64,500–$95,700 annually; Project Manager III: $88,400–$132,700 annually.

What you will do

• Own and maintain Jira backlogs for firmware and software teams, including epics, features, stories, tasks, and bugs.
• Partner with engineering managers, technical leads, and product stakeholders to define project objectives and required development work.
• Break projects into actionable, scoped, estimated, and assigned work for upcoming sprints.
• Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning activities.
• Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, technical commitments, risks, blocked work, and delivery forecasts across concurrent initiatives.
• Build Jira dashboards, reports, metrics, and planning artifacts; communicate project status and drive improvements to backlog management, estimation, and cross-functional coordination.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically 2+ years of related professional experience.
• Excellent coordination, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn technical concepts, new skills, and new responsibilities.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Satisfactory background check results and negative drug test results.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Scrum Master, Agile, or SAFe certification.
• Experience supporting software and/or firmware development teams.
