Senior Technical Project Manager (Medical Devices)

Estimated pay range: $138,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Plan and manage medical device development projects from initiation through post-implementation.
• Define project scope, work breakdown structures, estimates, resources, schedules, release plans, and contingencies.
• Coordinate engineering, product management, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, marketing, clinical operations, and customer support teams.
• Serve as Scrum Master for sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Manage project risks, technical discussions, business readiness, product launches, and production release monitoring.
• Support documentation, system testing, design transfer, and compliance with company procedures and international regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience with extensive cross-functional collaboration.
• 4+ years leading development projects, ideally including design transfer to manufacturing and commercialization of new products.
• Strong project planning, budgeting, risk management, analytical, organizational, communication, and technical decision-making skills.
• Experience with technical product development teams, embedded systems, and design transfer; medical device experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Project and Visio; familiarity with Atlassian tools is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, or PMP certification.
• Experience with IEC 62304, IEC 14971, and IEC 62366 standards.
• Experience with Jira, Aha!, project portfolio management, and Jama requirements management.
• Proficiency in AWS, Linux, Unix, or Windows environments.
