Associate Director, Technology Solutions (AI)

Location: Louisville, KY, United States

Salary: $156,600–$215,400 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan

What you will do

• Shape the engineering strategy, modernization, and evolution of provider technology platforms, creating scalable and reusable capabilities across products and business functions.
• Advance platform engineering practices covering developer productivity, automation, reliability, observability, scalability, and speed to market.
• Lead AI, Generative AI, LLM, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted engineering initiatives from experimentation through production deployment.
• Partner with architecture, product, data, compliance, security, engineering, and business stakeholders to align investments with strategic priorities.
• Influence platform and solution design to reduce complexity, improve maintainability, and minimize technical debt.
• Promote engineering excellence across architecture, software development, testing, DevOps, CI/CD, operational readiness, and production support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of progressive technology experience delivering large-scale technology, digital transformation, platform engineering, or modernization initiatives.
• Experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs involving multiple engineering teams and business stakeholders.
• Deep experience with enterprise technology transformation involving cloud, platform modernization, applications, integrations, and operating model evolution.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI or Generative AI solutions, enterprise AI platforms, intelligent automation, AI-assisted software engineering, or LLM-based capabilities.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, APIs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, DevSecOps, automation, observability, platform reliability, and resiliency engineering.
• Ability to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps, architecture strategies, and executable outcomes.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in healthcare technology, particularly within provider, payer, or healthcare administration organizations.
