Director, Artificial Intelligence & Digital Transformation - Space and Mission Systems (AI)

Location: Palm Bay, FL; Rochester, NY; Camden, NJ; Waco, TX; or Greenville, TX. Travel to other sites as needed, estimated at 10–15%. Relocation assistance is available to qualified applicants. A U.S. security clearance must be obtainable upon starting; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Salary: $165,500–$307,500 for Florida, New York, and Texas; $191,000–$354,500 for New Jersey.

What you will do

• Lead AI, data, and digital strategy for the Space & Mission Systems Program Management Excellence organization.
• Establish the program management AI and digital roadmap, use cases, investments, governance, and adoption plan.
• Lead implementation of digital and automation initiatives such as Program Digital Cockpit, Control Tower, and Business Intelligence.
• Identify, prioritize, prototype, and deploy AI capabilities that improve program execution, decision quality, schedule performance, and risk management.
• Manage data pipelines, digital tools, repositories, and data integrity across program and functional communities.
• Coordinate with Program Management, IT, Engineering, Data & Analytics, and AI transformation stakeholders to align objectives and secure buy-in.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 15 years of related experience; or a Graduate Degree with at least 13 years of related experience; or at least 19 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 5 years of experience as a functional manager.
• At least 5 years of experience leading digital transformation and artificial intelligence implementation.
• Prior or current experience in a program management role.
• Professional experience collaborating across Program Management, Digital/Information Technology, Engineering, Data & Analytics, and AI transformation teams.
• Professional experience with Large Language Models, copilots, AI agents, and prompt engineering.
• Professional experience redesigning processes, models, and workflows using digital technologies.
• Professional experience working with AI and cybersecurity data governance.

Nice to have

• Active U.S. security clearance.
• Experience in the aerospace-defense industry.
• Progressive leadership experience across program management, business, digital strategy, engineering, analytics, artificial intelligence, data architecture, and technology.
• Ability to influence senior leadership on matters of strategic importance.
